Location Beats Everything Else
If the gym is more than a 15-minute detour, it will gradually fall off your schedule. Traffic, bad weather, work pressure—something will push it aside.

Match the Environment to Your Personality
Some people flourish in crowded, energetic spaces. Others retreat in a busy or chaotic setting. Neither preference is wrong, but picking the wrong environment comes at a price.
Notice how you feel on your initial visits. Do you feel energized or depleted? Focused or scattered? That response matters more than the gym's features.
Do Not Ignore Peak Hours
Go to the gym at the times you plan to train. A quiet lunchtime tour won't reveal how it feels at 7 PM.
If you experience waiting for equipment or crowding during the trial, you'll be more frustrated later when the novelty wears off.
